In the current historical context where linguistic diversity is valued in democratic societies and the plurality of languages and cultures is recognized as a fundamental element of citizens' identities, it is worth reflecting on the role of the presence of the Italian language abroad. Italy has always been a crossroads of languages and cultures and, over the years, has established fruitful cultural relations with various countries. Among these, Greece holds a prominent position, with deep ties to Italy rooted in history, and a vibrant and dynamic reality of teaching Italian as a second language. The aim of this work is to analyze certain characteristics of teaching in the Greek educational context, particularly concerning teachers' perceptions of Italian culture, in order to better understand which elements of the Italian-related imagery tend to stabilize and potentially be included in educational content. Through a questionnaire administered to teachers working in Greece, direct information was obtained to identify recurring trends related to the image of Italian and its teaching. From these results, possible reflections can be drawn that are useful on an educational level and in terms of general policy for the dissemination of Italian.
