The understanding of the various aspects of the Faliscan settlement of Narce is to date mostly linked to our knowledge of its burial areas, which were intensively excavated between the late 19th and early 20th century. In 2020, thanks to a “Avvio alla Ricerca Grant”, awarded by the Sapienza University of Rome, it was possible to carry out a short geophysical survey in a portion, approximately 1 hectare, within one of the burial grounds investigated in the late 19th century east of the settlement of Narce, with the aim of assessing the reliability of the available documentation and collecting new data. The results, in addition to validate the location and the cartography of the necropoleis, made it possible to put forward some proposals and reflections on the articulation of the Narce funerary landscape.
