Premessa. Il magistero di Andrea Battistini: riflessioni metodologiche

This preface recalls the many human and intellectual qualities of Andrea Battistini, co-founder, among others, of the CISS - International Center for Studies on the Seventeenth Century of the Università per Stranieri di Siena, and initiates a reflection on his peculiar and original aptitude for intellectual 'teaching'. His constant attention to young scholar, the multiplicity of his research interests and the tireless scientific activity are particularly remembered.
