Nuovi razzismi e nuove retoriche xenofobe. Come le discipline filosofico-linguistiche stanno affrontando le attuali forme dell’odio discorsivo

In Italy, the arrival of migrants has become the contemporary semiotic space for the construction of otherness and “renewed” racist, xenophobic and denigrating discourses. The emergence of a quantitatively stronger and qualitatively different racism than the “historical” one raises new questions. This paper will retrace the main methodological approaches used by philosophical-linguistic disciplines in Italy to study hate speech, aimed at highlighting points of contact and differences. In addition, the final part of the article will demonstrate how most of these studies, despite proposing different theoretical-methodological frameworks, arrive at distinct conclusions that may however be pieced together to provide a coherent image of this discursive phenomenon.
