More or less explicitly, we record the transmission of the contrapasso model by several Catalan authors after the Commedia, such as Bernat Metge or Ausiàs March. The dialogue with this model leads to important innovations; particularly, in the case of Ausiàs March, the scene of the Christian afterworld moves to the inner dimension of the individual, with strong doses of psychological realism while showing the symptoms of a cultural crisis that characterizes the Fall of the Middle Ages.
