The notion of inter-comprehension can be operative as it allows to favor the acquisition of pragmalinguistic and multilingual skills, develops strategies for approaching languages with particular attention to processes, strategies and attitudes.It is also a tool of mediation because it operates from the contact between different languages and peoples and presents applicative perspectives also for CLIL methodology as it puts learners in contact with a learning content expressed in a language not perfectly controlled, in which the strategies of access to meaning are indispensable with the activation of hypothesis formulation operations in which the partiality of skills is an essential aspect.The contribution presents an application of the inter-comprehensive approach to CLIL aimed at "disadvantaged" subjects, immigrants who are imprisoned, who present plurilinguistic potential due to the context in which they live and the need to acquire partial skills in the professional field.
