Starting from the widely shared definitions of intercomprehension, this paper analyses the presence and type of intercultural references within the contribution of intercomprehension scholars. It follows that the cultural dimension has been introduced in most recent studies in relation to communication but primarily as social and political purposes and not methodological. Finally some conclusions are presented of an experiment in which were involved two A1 level groups: one group of Chinese students and the other with a romance language as mother tongue, in order to assess the extent to which learners develop cultural sensitivity.

Abstract
Starting from the widely shared definitions of intercomprehension, this paper analyses the presence and type of intercultural references within the contribution of intercomprehension scholars. It follows that the cultural dimension has been introduced in most recent studies in relation to communication but primarily as social and political purposes and not methodological. Finally some conclusions are presented of an experiment in which were involved two A1 level groups: one group of Chinese students and the other with a romance language as mother tongue, in order to assess the extent to which learners develop cultural sensitivity.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
