Abstract: The article lists the formations derived from the surname of Pier Paolo Pasolini, and in particular it documents the first appearance of the adjective pasoliniano and some of its extensive meanings, frequently used to describe the social degradation of the Roman suburb and its inhabitants; it also shows how the misuse of the adjective has generated some trivializations and stereotypes.
