Abstract

International research in applied linguistics on Chinese international students has rapidly developed in the past few years. As specifically concerns L2 Italian teaching to these learners, however, some research aspects have not been deeply investigated, yet. The dimension related to pragmatic skills development is one of these underestimated aspects and, thus, deserves greater attention. The current volume focuses on a research study on Chinese international students' development of pragmatic skills in L2 Italian. The implications drawn from the results aim at deepening the knowledge on some theoretical aspects and, at the same time, at realizing suitable instruments in order to teach pragmatics effectively.
