This paper aims to propose an exploratory and pragmatic research on the didactic use of the Chinese application TikTok to promote the meaningful learning of Portuguese as a Foreign Language among Italian-speaking university students. Therefore, the first part of this paper outlines the methodological approach that served as a challenge for this study, relying, in particular, on the specialized literature of Educational Linguistics and Conversational Pragmatics, while the second one brings examples of interactive videos made by the Portuguese Language Chair of the Università per Stranieri of Siena (Italy), through the official TikTok account, serving as support content for the face-to-face lessons. Thence, we examined the possible didactic potential of this tool, in order to encourage both digital and inclusive language education, stimulating the pedagogical practice.
