The article is devoted to the development of the problem of time in A.F. Losev’s philosophy of history, interpreted in the light of different approaches to understanding the notions of personality, fate, destiny and progress, presented in the works of Ancient Greek, Christian and Russian philosophers. The problem of time is viewed from a dialectical point of view, that is, in the perspective that connects time with its opposite (eternity), on the model of the opposition “idea - matter”, “soul - body”.
