Dinamiche di innovazione e conservazione connesse con la mobilità in alcune varietà della Barbagia di Ollolai (Nuoro)

This paper aims to describe the role of language contact with respect to some lexical, phonological, and morpho-syntactical features of central Sardinian varieties. Even if, on one hand, these dialects are often considered to have been deeply affected by the substratum of languages spoken in Sardinia before latin, on the other hand some data collected in the last decades seem to highlight the role of language contact between southern and central sardinian dialects. It must be taken into account that the transhumance towards the south by shepherds coming from Barbagia of Ollolai played a major part in the innovative phenomena of central sardinian. Indeed, some dynamics of linguistic conservatism, which can trigger unusual shifts in the language system, may also be useful to explain linguistic change
