Protagonisti non sono solo scrittori canonizzati come Montale, Pirandello e Svevo, ma anche chi rimane spesso invisibile alla narrazione letteraria: editori e organizzatori culturali, traduttori e traduttrici, autori usciti dal canone come Bontempelli e Da Verona, Marinetti e Papini.
