Starting from its third series (2007-), every issue of the literary journal «Allegoria» presents a section completely devoted to a theme of particular weight in the contemporary cultural debate. The first of those thematic sections is dedicated to Pierre Bourdieu’s contribution to the sociology of literature. Anna Baldini introduces the section. Her essay traces the fundamental features of Bourdieu’s sociology of culture, which is shown as a specific case of Bourdieu’s theory of human action. Baldini manages to give a clear, aimed to a non-specialist public explanation of concepts such as “field”, “habitus”, “scholastic view”, “illusio”. The Introduzione is followed by the translation of a lecture and an interview given by Pierre Bourdieu. In the lecture Il critico, o Il punto di vista dell’autore (2000) Bourdieu focuses its discourse on the most important requisite for a scientific analysis of any cultural field. The researcher has to assume “the point of view of the author” in order to understand the mechanisms, conflicts and stakes that characterize a specific moment in the history of a (literary) field. The interview Per una scienza delle opere was given by the sociologist after the publication of Les règles de l’art in 1992. Together with the interviewer Inès Champey, Bourdieu retraces the most significant steps of the development of its sociology of culture. Anna Boschetti’s Le genesi delle poetiche e dei canoni presents an analysis of the most significant moments of the Italian literary history between 1945 and 1970, elaborating it through Bourdieu’s theoretical tools. This illustration of a particular case is also used to put into evidence general mechanisms operating in literary fields. Michele Sisto’s Mutamenti nel campo letterario italiano 1956-68 concentrates on the same period of the Italian literary history. Sisto analyzes the Italian literary field from the point of view of the translating choices operated by the Italian publishing houses during the years 1956-68.

Abstract
Sisto analyzes the Italian literary field from the point of view of the translating choices operated by the Italian publishing houses during the years 1956-68.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
